Washington Irving and the Sketch (American Literature Association, San Francisco, May 24-27, 2012)
The Washington Irving Society invites papers discussing the development of American literature, particularly the genre of the “sketch,” for its sponsored panel at the American Literature Association in San Francisco on May 24-27. Papers in which Irving intersects with other authors, particularly in compelling or novel ways, are especially welcome.
